Zweigelt

“Zweigelt” is the most common red wine in Austria and Paul D.’s Zweigelt is among the best. The grapes grow on the sunny hillsides of the Hammer vineyards.

Color:

clear, dark crimson with shades of light purple

Aroma:

plum, mature sour cherry, pickled fruits, coffee bean

Taste:

plum compote, clove, blackberry, full-bodied, long finish

Serve with: red meats such as  beef and duck
Haute cuisine: medium steak grilled with blackberries and cherry tomatoes, served with romanesco puree
